Course on Public Policy Administration Management Tools and Development Financing Mechanisms
The Latin American Leaders Training Program, supported by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), will hold in Montevideo, Uruguay, the Course on Public Policy Administration Management Tools and Development Financing Mechanisms, next 17th and 18th of May, 2012. The course seeks to: • Contribute to the training of professionals responsible for designing and managing public policies and programs, strengthening the management culture with a perspective of equity, efficiency, quality, sustainability and inclusion. • Contribute to the consolidation of a common language for professionals in public management. •Generate capacities for the effective implementation of tools and methodologies for the design of public policies and their social management. RedLAC seeks consultant for Communication and Marketing workshop
The sixth RedLAC Capacity Building workshop on “Communication and Marketing for Environmental Funds” will take place in Uganda on September 24th to 26th, 2012.
Specialists interested in coordinating this workshop are invited to present a proposal, specifying the approach to be taken and cost details, with CV attached, no later than March 16, 2012. For more information, check the complete Terms of Reference.

The RedLAC Capacity Building Project is happy to announce the selection of two pilot projects on innovative financial mechanisms. The Project Committee selected two out of five proposals sent by RedLAC member Funds, closing the second Call for Proposals of the RedLAC Capacity Building Grants Facility.
The funds responsible for the selected projects will now sign contracts and receive financial support from the Capacity Building Project to start designing and implementing creative and forward-looking mechanisms to diversify and complement their portfolios and leverage additional resources for biodiversity conservation. |

Five proposals received for innovative financial mechanisms
The RedLAC Capacity Building Project Committee received last Monday, January 16th, 2012 five proposals for innovative financial mechanisms presented by RedLAC members. Click here to check the proposals. Two pilot projects will be selected to be co-financed in this second round and results will be announced in February. The first call for proposals held in 2011 selected four pilot projects from RedLAC members to be carried out in 2012.

The 13th RedLAC General Assembly marked the transition of the RedLAC Executive Secretariat and Presidency. This movement, defined in the network’s bylaws, constitutes the end of the Funbio mandate, represented by Pedro Leitão as RedLAC President and Camila Monteiro as RedLAC Executive Secretary.
