Participant's Future Steps
During the workshop, participants were asked to write a short essay
reporting their future steps on Fundraising, inspired by the lectures
and debates. Read their intentions. Coordinators:
Paquita Bath has an extensive experience
advancing ecosystem conservation and facilitating planning processes,
participatory evaluations, and organizational development. She is the
founder and President of Aligning Visions - an environmental consulting
company that has worked on many critical global conservation issues

Invited Speakers:
Alberto Panigua is an Economist and has a Postgraduation's degree in Agricultural and Social-Economic Development at Sorbonne. He is the current Executive Director of PROFONANPE wich was established in 1992 to
support the conservation and management of Peru's Protected Areas.
PROFONANPE is a founding member of the Latin America and the Caribbean

Edwin Wanyony is the Resource
Mobilization Specialist of Kenya Wildlife Service Fund. At KWS, he is
responsible for developing strategy and fundraising from Government,

Francis Sabuni is the
Executive Director of the EAMCEF - a Trust Fund that has been
established as a permanent funding mechanism to assist the Government
of Tanzania with its conservation efforts. EAMCEF aims to provide
realistic financing for community development and conservation for
sustainable use of natural resources in Eastern Arc Mountains. Francis Sabuni made a presentation but did not use presentations as support material.

Raymond Killenga is the
Programme Officer of EAMCEF Planning and Communication team as well as
Assistant Regional Manager at Sokoine University of Agriculture. He has
also worked as a Field Coordinator in the Magoroto Mlinga Community
Ecotourism Project in Tanzania. Raymond Killenga made a presentation but did not use presentations as support material.
Marie de Longcamp is Director at WWF-US Conservation Finance Department. She provides leadership and technical
support for the development and implementation of sustainable finance
initiatives to support conservation programs. Marie has an extensive
experience in the private sector and worked for a Swedish merchandising

Pedro
Leitão is the President of Funbio's Board of Directors. He
has a Doctor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering at COPPE/UFRJ and
also has been the member of different environmental organizations'
councils around the globe such as SOS Mata Atlântica and

Valeria Dorado has been working
for FUNDESNAP in Bolivia as a Financial Mechanisms Specialist since
2008. She has been involved with many fundraising activities such as
