It brings together the network’s members, key private and public donors and experts on innovative financial mechanisms for conservation and sustainable development. It also enables RedLAC Environmental Funds to display their institutional materials, present project updates and engage with potential partners to explore new alliances. This year’s assembly will have as keynote speaker Dr. Braulio Dias, the Convention on Biological Diversity's (CBD) Executive Secretary, who will present the results of COP11. The meeting also usually includes a one day field trip to a conservation related site, where visitors can learn more about the host country and enjoy an informal networking space. This year’s field trip will be to the Paracas National Reserve, 260 km south of Lima. For further information about Peru, Lima and Paracas please read the 'Practical Guide Peru 2012'.
